I know we all have our fashion staples–you know, places you have catalogued in your brain to buy certain items from? For example, I tend to get my dresses from ASOS or H&M, my fun funky tops from Forever21, and my jeans almost exclusively from the GAP. But there’s a whole world of fashion out there that’s, surprise, not backed by giant branding conglomerates. I’m talking about the epicenter of handmade/vintage chic: Etsy shops.
Now, while there are plenty of–ahem–less than awesome things for sale on the site, Etsy has some serious treasures hidden in its search bar! Below I’ve compiled a list of my 6 favorite Etsy stores, but be warned, one click and you might just find yourself hooked.

Looking for items that you can just grab from your closet, throw on, and know they’ll look great on any given day with almost anything? Well, Emily of Riordan Roche has the answer for you. Beautiful, easy dresses and tees in good quality fabrics with some seriously sophisticated color blocking make this shop a total win. I’m in love with this basic t shirt dress and this raw silk jacket. A little on the pricey side, but worth it.

I have three words for you: handmade leather clutches. Linmade is rocking some amazing clutches and purses in tons of colors and designs (two-tone for spring anyone?) If you’re cool with wearing leather, then I highly recommend this popular shop for quality goods in tons of different colors and designs. I love this bright turquoise wallet and this navy blue leather clutch.

KesTdesigns on Etsy has a decidedly leather, turquoise, and metal aesthetic, and I absolutely love it. You know those bracelets/layered necklaces/earrings that girls just seem to throw on in the morning and look effortlessly put together and cool? This is the store to buy them from. I’m in love with this aquamarine and leather number, and this geometric gold number. Perfect for spring.

The necklaces on this site are simply beautiful and would work perfectly with any outfit. Colorful, geometric, and full of personality, TwentyFingers makes individual-yet-basic jewelry (sometimes out of wood!) that would really spice up a nice sun dress or a basic tee. I’m coveting these earrings and this bracelet.

If you’re not into leather, then let me suggest ShaunDesign which lives up to its description of “beautiful bags.” If you’re in the market for a new backpack, or if you want to brighten up your bag collection, then one of these is perfect for you. Think: travel, class, a movie, etc. These carryalls are unique looking, functional, and…beautiful. I love this basic backpack and this gorgeous tote.
Minxshop

If bohemian and vintage had a baby, then Minxshop would be that baby. This store has some really beautiful and well-constructed blouses, dresses, and even riding pants. Again, I’d go here for clothing that you can just grab and know instantly that it will work no matter what you pair it with. And, let’s be honest, in college, those kinds of items are ten times more important than the trendy ones.
