Daisy, the wealthy homemaker, is portrayed as the most ladylike and femininely dressed, often shown in all-white ensembles. For this reason, it is easy and comfortable to don a Daisy-inspired look this season. While many of our favorite fabrics are available in white during the summer months, Daisy’s materials of choice are breezy linen and satin. Jordan Baker, the famous golfer from both the novel and movie, is known as a rebel for her time period. Her looks are menswear-inspired, tomboy-esque, and more often than not, feature shapeless fits. In short, Miss Baker is the complete opposite of Daisy Buchanan. Simple tanks, tunics, and shift dresses can be used to create a look like Jordan’s, and then be made more feminine by adding sparkling jewelry and waist-sinching belts. A simple pair of loafers complete the look.
