How you know her:
Lorde is a singer-songwriter with a soulful, raspy voice reminiscent of Lana Del Rey mixed with some Bon Iver. You likely recognize her from that non-stop advertising on Spotify, or when the Huffington Post recently toted her as the future queen of pop-alt music. Her first EP, The Love Club, was released only this March, but already reached number two on New Zealand’s top albums chart. Her hit single off that EP, “Royals,” has been making waves in the US this summer, nabbing the number one spot on Billboard’s Alt Chart.
